“Chalk Creek Riverhouse is in an ideal location and the owners have thought of every detail!
My five year-old son and I stayed at the cabin for a weekend trip and felt all the comforts of home.
We enjoyed the Mt. Princeton Hot Springs, walked down to the Chalk Creek River that’s literally in the backyard and went on a few short hikes.
The cabin feels remote, but also close to the amenities of town. I cannot wait for our next stay at Chalk Creek Riverhouse!”
“Cabin is a great spot in the woods. Secluded enough that you don’t see too many others. There is an awesome place on property to hang out by the creek. Easy to get to town. Lots of wildlife in the area (bear, snake, deer, coyote). Highly recommend.”
“This is a wonderful home nestled in a perfect place along the creek. There is plenty to do in the area if you like hiking, and the road up to the house is not bad. The view is amazing and you can hear the creek from the master bedroom. Beds are reasonably comfortable. Manager was very responsive! Would stay here again for sure! ”

Overall, our stay, here was very good. The space was clean and neat, the outdoor areas were beautiful, and there were plenty of activities indoors. The pictures were mostly accurate (there is no TV in the loft area as pictured). The kitchen was well-equipped. Our only complaint is that the beds were pretty uncomfortable, and one was broken. It seems like the last guest attempting to fix it but it’s a lot as soon as I sat on it. In hindsight, it is likely that the house was unaware of this issue. That issue side, it was a wonderful trip. Location was perfect!

Such a great place. Minutes from the Hot Springs. Very big house with lots of beds and room to separate. My kids loved all the games, movies, stuffed animals on the bed. The kitchen was stocked with everything! The spot down by the creek was peaceful and beautiful.

We had such a great time! The house was large enough for our family, plenty of games and activities, close to the Hot Springs, beautiful views, and fun down by the river. Would stay again!

Excellent location for riding trails, seeing a small towns close by. St. Elmo was a favorite place of hours. You can feed chipmunks there. House was clean and had most of everything we needed to prepare meals. Loved being on the river.
